History of the Naked Warriors Original The original Naked Warriors were the first group from the Naval Construction Battalions who volunteered for Special Forces operations during WW2. They were called the Naked Warriors because it described how they would go into battle...with little more than a knife and the skin on backs. Their missions included preparing beaches chosen for amphibious landings and general havoc through guerilla warfare tactics. This led to the first formal training of the Naval Combat Demolition Units(NCDUs). The NCDUs distinguished themselves at Utah and Omaha beaches in Normandy and in Southern France. These men understood the meaning of teamwork, dedication and honor. Taking our cue from these great heroes, we too have these values at the core of our clan.
